Why Ethereum?
The People's Internet.
From a first principles perspective, blockchains need to be decentralized. Without decentralization, then we might as well be running everything on a centralized database. After all, blockchains could then be much faster and cheaper! The magic of blockchains is they ~could be~ immutable, credibly neutral, unstoppable, and censorship resistant with the right balance of decentralization
To us, Ethereum represents the holy grail of an immutable, credibly neutral, unstoppable, and censorship resistant blockchain.
The Ethereum community represents all cypherpunks, and it represents a vision that is loyal to a mission, not to a casino.
